Birthday Party Season is in full swing! Luci and Cami appear to be most comfortable around cake, candy, piñatas and lots of friends!
New places we checked out this month and LOVED: Noah’s Ark animal sanctuary, Champion Kids gym, Catch Air Kennesaw, Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta and Durhamtown.
Our fearless child is now afraid of lots of things… the dark, ” ‘cary monsters”, Uga (UGA’s mascot). She’s been spending the night with Mommy and Papi A LOT lately. Cami is still obsessed with cookies, but bell peppers, hot dogs, and chocolate milk are all tied for second place. She’s most frequently upset by being removed from situations with friends because she LOVES them so much and its usually because she’s completely exhausted since we’re trying to cut out the afternoon nap (The 10p bedtime isn’t working for anyone!). We’re hearing a lot of ” Luci, no touch eso!”, “Luci, Go to time out?” and “Earf” (Earth) and “Mermee” (Mermaid).
She’s started half-day preschool five days a week at FUMC and FPC and gymnastics on Saturdays.
A Convo with Cami
[Waiting in the Einstein Bros Bagels Drive-thru line]
M: Cami, what kind of bagel do you want?
C: Ahhhhh….. cookie bagel!
M: What is it that you want?
C: Ahhhh… Ice cream cookie, I want ice cream too!
The two front teeth made their appearance at the end of the month, FINALLY! Her climbing is reaching new heights on a daily basis and so are the number of bruises on her forehead! Her favorite things to do these days: trying new foods (anything that Cami is eating), making messes with Cami, and playing with Cami and her friends!
This time last year: August 2013
Cami was testing out Luci’s gear before she arrived
When Cami was 11 months old…
We were getting ready to spend Christmas in Colombia and Cami was happily making messes just like her sister!
